It is hard to imagine Lucy is 4 years old! It occurred to me this year to think back on Lucy's actual birth day from the perspective of what I was doing 4 years ago on May 15th. We made it a point to share the story of Lucy's birth with her, which she loved. The focus was on where we were and who was present or came to visit soon after. (We were lucky to be able to skip the delivery details, again. I don't know how I will explain that part, someday.)
It was a happy but simple birthday. She shared cupcakes with her friends at school, got a new bag and Indian outfit from Didi and "big kid" legos from us.
